The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has officially announced the KTET February 2026 Notification opening the opportunity for applicants who want to become teachers in government and aided schools across Kerala. The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) is a very important qualification for applicants who want to be appointed in Lower Primary (LP) Upper Primary (UP) High School (HS) and Language Teacher (LT) categories. According to the official schedule the online application form will be available from 27 December 2025 while the written examination for all categories is set to be conducted on 25 February 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who want to apply for the KTET February 2026 need to meet the given below eligibility criteria

  • To apply for category I (LP Classes 1–5) under KTET, applicants must have passed higher secondary or plus two with a minimum of 50% marks and have a 2-year D.El.Ed or equivalent or 4-year B.El.Ed
  • To apply for category II (UP Classes 6–8), applicants must have graduated with at least 45% marks and have a 2-year D.El.Ed or equivalent or B.Ed
  • To apply for category III (High School Classes 9–10), applicants must have graduated or post graduated in the relevant subject with at least 45% marks and B.Ed in the concerned subject from a recognized institution
  • To apply for Category IV (Language Teachers), applicants must have graduated with the language subject as the main discipline and must have passed the Language Teachers’ Training Examination or hold a B.Ed in the respective language

Online Application Process for KTET February 2026

The online registration process will begin on 27 December 2025 through the official website and applicants must follow the given below steps to apply online for KTET 2026:

Step1 > Open the official portal ktet.kerala.gov.in and click on the February 2026 registration link.

Step2 > Complete the initial registration by entering personal information and generating a unique login and fill out the application form with educational details, category selection, and contact information.

Step3 > Upload copies of your photograph signature and relevant certificates and pay the applicable fee through Net Banking Debit Card or Credit Card.

Step4 > Submit the KTET February 2026 form and download the confirmation page for future use.
